In my place

Today was quite an arrangement of shit. I got to work a little late...only to find that some managers from our main office had unexpectedly shown up....while my boss was still flying in. Turns out they were letting 6 people from our office (of about 15) go...these were my friends and mentors. One of them in particular was a great friend, and he has been an excellent mentor. I lost my dad right after I started working for them, so these two bosses have some special meaning to me, because they kind of filled that role for a while (at least professionally). So to see one of them go for no good reason was really hard--- I couldn't help but get emotional. He is probably the smartest person in our division, and certainly could've been placed on another team--- this was personal and the guy that did it will certainly pay when he realizes the giant mistake he made.

Then to make matters worse...our building caught on fire! (unrelated I swear!). So we had to rush out and wait in the freezing cold for a few hours...

What shit... but hey LOST starts back tonight!! Woo Hoo- something good!
