About 6 mos ago, I went to 'Play' with friends and the (really cute) bartender gave my credit card to the wrong person!! So I paid for someone elses tab, and he paid for mine (mine was MUCH higher, so thats ok!).
The manager was very nice about it, and sent me the card in the mail. He also said I could get in for free a few times whenever I came up next. So we went on Friday and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't as crowded as I remember, but the music was GREAT and the drag show was a ton of fun! If you haven't been to a drag show, then I recommend it. But you have to go to a good one. 'Play' has a really professional drag show, and its great. Backstreet (club in memphis) has a decent drag show, but its just too long and the seating sucks.
I really enjoy them, because its a nice anchor for the night, and its fun if the music is good! I can't say that I really understand why people do this...but I don't judge :-) You can tell that most of the drag queens were transgendered...or at least had secret compartments to hide their penises because there just wasn't anything there! One drag queen was called 'Deception' (go figure) and there is no way anyone could tell this was a man at one point!
The songs I remember were 'Halo', 'Poker Face', 'Hold on for one more day (wilson phillips!)', and a few other really popular ones that I can't remember off the top of my head. It was great though! Sorry the pictures are blurry, because they were moving so damn fast and my cell phone cam sucks.
Lastly, I was at my moms and saw a graduation invitation for one of my cousins that I have never met. I don't even know how we're related its like 3rd or 4th cousins... so I don't feel gross about it. But there was a picture included and OMG he is really HOT! I think his name is Kevin or Keith or something like that (cute name). What do you guys think?

I've never been to a drag show, but I've seen RuPaul's Drag Race. It was oddly fascinating and entertaining to watch. In fact, she / he was just in town for the opening of some new bar... I heard about it too late, unfortunately.

Yea- it probably says a lot about his personality. I've never met the guy, and don't even remember how we're related.

I was thinking about trying to, but that might be creepy-- 'hey its your 4th cousin, twice removed, that you've never met from Memphis...and he looks straight (if one can 'look straight'...I guess I do to under that metric!)
