I spent two days in Tupelo, MS this weekend doing contract work for a movie theatre company. There were some cute employees, but in general the thick accents was getting to me. Also, apparently there is a Wallabe (type of shoe) factory that was ransacked, because every other guy has these shoes. I remember when I was in highschool they were popular, but this was a few years ago.... they ARE NOT popular anymore!
Anyways- the funniest thing happened while I was there: I was working on some computers while the employees were all called together in the lobby (like 40 employees). I could hear the meeting, and the management was doing a lot of complaining. The meeting was about 10 minutes and very serious. There is this one employee- probably in highschool, big guy (probably 300+ lbs), and fairly flamboyantly gay. Anyways- at the end of the meeting, the manager asked: "Does anyone have any questions? Is there anything else you need?" and the gay guy says "Umm.... cuter boy employees???" It was hilarious! The girls in the crowd all giggled, and the management and the guys in the crowd all stared like someone had just died. I thought "did he just say that out loud!?"
So he is my new hero- I would love to have the confidence and quick wit to be able to do something like that in the middle of podunk MS...where its not exactly "gay friendly". There seems to be a few gay high school kids that work there (not surprising for movie theatres). One I remember hearing that one day he came in late, and in tears, because he had apparently just 'come out' to his mom. He's really cute, and just the kind of person that you want to just give a big hug to. He has clearly gotten a lot of grief and just has this vulnerability that you can see on his face. He also has just the right amount of southern twang to still be cute.
On an unrelated note- I got spammed on MSN tonight. Some girl wanted me to come to her cam site. I said 'no thanks' and was trying to be nice about it...but she was persistent (or a bot), and I was like 'fuck you- Im gay and I dont want to see your nasty twat!"... then I blocked her. Has this happened to anyone else?

That's pretty funny - "cuter boy employees". :) We actually had a 'crew breakout', basically a meeting of the people on my crew and the supervisor, yesterday. When my supervisor asked if there was anything else that we should discuss, the thought that passed through my mind was 'we need more cute guys in the area'. Of course, I didn't have the balls to say that, and the other guys on my crew all said we need some hot women. :( Looks like I'm in the minority. Oh, and i think I'm gonna go apply for a job at some movie theaters today...Some cute gay guys are better than none. :)
As far as getting spammed on MSN, that has never happened to me. But then, not many people have my chat ID , and my address isn't out in public view. That is pretty annoying though.

I get spammed on AIM sometimes. I used to cuss at 'em then block 'em. Now I just block 'em.
