So being that the wood is very dark and the other main colors (reds, oranges) were dark, the walls had to be light. The walls are a taupe, gray color, and I repainted the trim and ceiling bright white. I just cleaned the carpet, because I didn't have enough money to buy new carpet (and I borrowed a carpet cleaner from a company I used to work for)... but a new carpet would look really nice.

For the art, I went with the metal sculpture. I gotta say- it looks so much better in person. Its highly reflective, and the colors are very complex and rich. Everytime I look at it, I get a little something different... also it works even better than I expected with the rest of the colors.
Here are two pics- my focus sucks, so the art doesn't show well in this pic, but you at least get the idea. BTW- I highly recommend this mattress. Its like Im sleeping in a box of kittens... totally amazing. I sink like a few inches in to the bed its so soft, but still has enough firmness so I don't feel like I'm in quick sand.

Have a safe weekend!

Looks comfy.
All it needs now is a sexy naked guy sprawled over the covers waiting for you. :D
Yea seriously! I'm working on that next weekend...after midterms! >:-) I am going to a concert friday night, and out to the only decent gay club we have on Saturday night... and maybe I'll pick up some mens and see how they like the 'decor'

from what i can see, the color of the new artwork compliments the colors of the curtains and bedspread and stuff
(and I don't mean that to sound shallow-gay like "oh my, looove what you've done with the place" in a queeny voice) LOL.
But then, my sense of fashion runs to thinking about "possibly maybe perhaps considering" painting my plain white walls a different color.
:)
:-) I vote 'yes'! Be daring! Paint the walls a droll gray
