Birthday Wishes

Next Sunday is my birthday, and I'm not really excited about it. I will be 26 years old, which seems ancient :-( I don't know what I want to do on my birthday. I really want to go to the club, but I know my other gay friends don't want to go. I don't want to 'drag them along' (wow, thats an unintended pun). A year ago, everyone enjoyed going to the club...now I'm the only one left that wants to go, which sucks. Soooo..... any of you all want to go to the club with me on my birthday? :-)

I am making a resolution to myself to 'fix me' this year. I cannot go another year where I feel like I am letting myself down. I know I am fortunate that I have been given opportunities to do well in school and work, and I feel like I am 'doing well' in those aspects of my life. But my personal life, physical fitness, etc. I know is lacking. I don't want to wake up 40 years old having been complacent all those years and full of regret. I don't want to waste the next 6 years of my personal life as I feel I wasted the last six. I don't want to feel so uncomfortable in my skin that I feel I am not worthy of someone else. I recognize what and how to fix those thing I hate, and I have the means and opportunity to accomplish my goals; I just haven't. This *must* change.

That's my 'call to arms' to myself. Hopefully, it will work. Wish me luck.

Much Love,
Steve

Happy birth day. Or is it next sunday? Today is my birthday. It is the day the Elvis died.

Remember today is the tomorrow you worried about yesterday.

Heh. Mine's in a little over a month. I *am* 26. It isn't ancient. 27 is ancient. I've got my own list of stuff to fix... probably warrants a blog entry or two.

Happy (Early) Birthday!

And yeah, I'd hit up the clubs... but that would mean flying home, which I am not doing right now.

If 26 is ancient then what happens when you hit 40?

Are you then an antique?

Happy birthday! I wish you could send it in Idaho. I promise to make you feel a decade younger, doing some of the best outdoor sports ever. I'll have you hiking, mountain bike ridding, rock climbing, white-water rafting, and swimming all in one weekend. When you live here you can't help but want to get out and get moving, because there's little else to do. Besides, I also know plenty of secluded areas as well. LOL Then, after a good shower, I'd be happy to take you for a drink,as long as I can be the "designated driver".

Oh, and after I read your comments on my blog, I checked to see if you had a blog yourself. Turns out I already had you on my favorite blog list, and I've been reading you months! Keep up the good work, and send me an email if you feel like it.

@Wet Kyle
Next sunday, but thanks none the less! I forgot that today was Elvis' death day. If it were a work day, I'm sure my cubicle buddy would've been playing his music and crying. She is a die-hard fan (there are many here in Memphis).

@Gauss
27! OMG I can't even imagine that hell; 26 is daunting enough :-)

@Ethan
I believe you are just referred to as a 'fossilized gay'. I can't even imagine being 40 years old.

@Dave
I love the outdoors. I am not particularly good with outdoor activities-- but I love getting out in nature and just breathing the air. I'm sure Idaho is awesome for that! We don't have any mountains to climb, but we have some decent hiking trails that are a lot of fun. Thanks!

So we have ancient and fossilized gay.
I'm scared to know the answer but I'll ask anyway

What are you when you hit 100? (Besides in need of Viagra lol)

@torchy: "action plan, and how you progress?" That sounds like it should be delivered in PowerPoint form... :-P

@gauss: now that's just silly - a video presentation will be perfectly adequate

Skip the club, absolutely. Do something nice with friends, something special obviously, that you will remember fondly.

And your second paragraph is good - push for it, force yourself to stay positive and make those changes!

Happy birthday, I'm in the same boat here, going to be 25 next week :( so we should go celebrate our birthdays together.

Great plan, change must come from within and will start when you want it to, just don't overdo it and take things to your own pace.

@ Dave83201 are you hitting on Planetx_123? smooth.
