So this weekend I had planned to go to Nashville to see the Coldplay with Snow Patrol concert. I am not an uber-fan of Coldplay, but I know all of their music, and I really like Snow Patrol...so it would've been AWESOME. Plus, its my normal 'concert posse' that I love seeing shows with. I don't drink a lot at all-- but with them its like a never ending frat party, which once every few months is kind of nice (see Dave Matthews post).
But INSTEAD I am being 'dragged' to Dallas to spend a weekend with my mom's fiance and his kids--my age, but TOTALLY opposite of me-- and some cousins I haven't seen in a while. We are going to spend the weekend on the lake, and then Saturday night go to a George Straight / Reba McIntyre concert. Now I HATE country music with the fury of 1000 suns. I think I would actually prefer going to a three six mafia concert... or __insert any shitty band here__. I just cannot imagine a more terrible show to have to see INSTEAD of Coldplay / Snow Patrol. I told her 'I am going to be the only one with a mp3 player and a book'.
The only silver lining, albeit creepy, is that one of my cousins that I haven't seen in probably 10 years is REALLY hot. He's like 17 or 18 and has a very typical texas / soccer player / kind of rugged look about him. I hadn't seen him for a long time, and I just saw a recent picture of him and was like.... ooh :-) I guess its a bit strange, but I never see them-- they could be strangers to me. I'm not even sure how we're related.
So I hope you all have a good weekend-- I know that I won't, but maybe I'll get some nice pics that I can share with you if we go swimming >:-)
Here's a pic of someone that looks like him

Much Love,
Steve

Seems like this is the weekend of family trips.
I'm going to need a vacation from this "vacation." Good luck with yours.
Well, I hope you have wonderful time (for the most part) and enjoy some family bonding with your cuz. (uh)

I hope it goes as well as can be expected. I hope you and your cousin can enjoy each other's company.
