They all do it the same way

I'm heading out to work, but am going to try to update more often. This is going to sound like a straight guy's post-- beer, bbq, and Dave Matthews!

As I have mentioned before, I am a big music fan. I am a drummer and fake-play the piano. Live music just really gets me going-- I can't explain it, but good music just makes me want to move, and my mind races, and it feels like its just flowing through my veins. See who needs drugs when you train your brain to have the same chemical effects just from things like music!?

So Dave Matthews Band played in Nashville this weekend, and me and a group of friends made a weekend out of it. I love Dave Matthews-- I have since like '96, and this was probably my 12th or 13th show I've seen of them. It was great, and I definitely enjoyed myself >:-) My friends and I were acting like fools, really into the music, and trying to understand why so many people bought $100 tix and weren't moving! You can't watch DMB and sit in a seat-- you got to get up and MOVE! And I think on multiple times I was hand-drumming on legs/chest/back/arms of people around me, including a really cute boy in front of me... :-)

Also, it kind of sucked being in nashville and not going to my favorite gay club, Play. This was the place (see blog post many moons ago) where the really hot bartender gave my credit card (and tab, thank you very much) to someone else. The really hot bar tender kept looking at me with big eyes and apologizing wanting to know how he could 'make it up to me' (I had a couple ideas). Also, I got some free passes for the next couple times, and I need to use them! Anyone in Nashville?

Unfortunately, this trip couldn't have come at a worse time-- my project is DUE TOMORROW!!! and I haven't even started the 'project report' yet. In retrospect, this weekend was a very irresponsible Steve, which is unusual. I am usually much more responsible, and have much less fun in my life. I guess we all need to cut loose every once in a while.
